A Conversation for The Englischer Garten in Munich, Bavaria, Germany

I was, once, one of the students who enjoyed the odd hour in park you so eloquently described. You have done a great job in describing the park which is so important to everyone living in Munich. I for one lived in the Hohenzollernstr. just a few minutes walk away. It's a shame that one cannot describe the felling the Park gives to people, the discussions you've had, the friends you made, the strangers you meet... It's almost as if people take on a completely different attitude (if they are not to drunk on Mass'es of Bier).
I'm happy, you liked the entry
That's true - about the park. I spend many, many hours there and yes, I met many interesting people. It is a place, where you can go to strangers and start a conversation without getting a strange look.
I love Munich, because I spend 6 years living there. I went to a Gymnasium there and still have many good friends in this city. As I'm a sentimental person , I visit Munich 1 or 2 times the year.
I used to live in Ebenhausen, it's a bit outside, direction Wolfratshausen and I was at the Pullacher Gymnasium.
I always smile, remembering those years.

I grew up in a little village called Hohenpeissenberg (between Weilheim obb and Schongau)so the area you are describing is very real to me - especially as some of my friends lived in Wolfratshausen at the time I was in college (8-10 years ago) how on earth did you end up in Russia - my next visit to muc and home is comming up in two weeks time - I can't wait
... I'm living in Warsaw, and it's the capitol of Poland. I'm Polish, but I had the opportunity to live in Germany (few years in Munich, and few years in Köln-before).
Lucky you - I mean, because of your muc visit. I thought, I could go for 4 days next Monday - because of my w*rk - I'm an int.forwarder and one of our clients is MAN in Munich (we are also their biggest client in Poland), but unfortunately my other duties don't allow me this .
BUT! I'm going for 10 days in January for holidays ! I'm so happy about this, cause this year I was only in March there and I miss my friends.

I'm so sorry about the Russian mistake - I do know better really! Please accept my appologies.

Well OK it's very good of you to be so generous - but you didn't grow up next to USA/Can whereas I group up in Germany, bordering on Poland. Never mind what's done is done - I see you are in the GerMania egroups. We'll be hearing form each other trough there then.
Okay, Java, we see each other there. In the meantime: do you know our German main thread 'Weihnachtsvorbereitungen'? The address is http://www.h2g2.com/F36649?thread=75513
