I remember HOWTH IRELAND as a child some 50 -60 years ago, I bet it has changed a lot. " aunts of mine lived at 1, Howth Hill. I used to play Chroquett on the lawn. My dad who is now 93 lived & grew up in Howth.
Does anyone remember the ANGUS'S. John ANGUS senior was my Great Grandfather, he was evidently skipper of a 3-masted ship which sailed the 7 seas so it was told. What was the name of his ship. and where did it sail to? I believe the ANGUS'S were coal merchants. One of the sons George ANGUS was also a sailor. Elizabeth Eleanor Angus was my grandmother she married Samuel COCHRAN, does anyone remember the COCHRAN family in HOWTH? IF you do remember either of these families please email me. or if you can tell me where any of the ANGUS'S are buried ? HOWTH graveyard?? please inform me. Thanks
