This page is very interseting, but in the version I own, it is hard to distigush between movements, so it is hard to read the sonnets at the approprate time.

That must be very irritating! I've heard recordings where they run several movements without any gap ... but there are plenty that are more authentic, with discernable pauses. There are several recordings by the Academy of Ancient Music which are good .....

Sorry! It's a chamber orchestra that plays on original (or copy) instruments, and plays in the baroque style. They are English musicians, and come together to record baroque music. Just check the labels of assorted "four seasons" recordings ... they have done several .. not all of them on expensive labels. Another thing to look for is the name of Christopher Hogwood as the director (director is the Baroque equivalent of conductor) ... that would ensure an "authentic" sound.

Dearest Kes,
It sounds absolutely delightful. I wish I could experience the sounds of such and understand music more than I do. Just thought I would pop in, rather than just LURK, and catch you on the fly, to say hi! Got to go to sleep a few minutes ago.
