Not necessarily.
What I believe the "Video Capabilities" would be eventually act as an interface between listener and the radio station. In essence, the listener becomes the DJ and selects their own playlist from huge electronically stored music database.

I don't really think the broadcasters will ever use it, to be honest.

Failing that, it would probably serve as an enhanced version of the RDS system on the analogue system.

you can listen and still read h2g2 at the same time if you like what they are saying you can click e-mail the show and join in.
I have even phoned them and talked live on radio.

There's rather a lot of radio available over the internet... www.mediauk.com lists just the UK ones (of which there's a good few!)

Ironic as it is, digital radio capable of video is alive, well and known as ITVDigital - both use Coded Orthagonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (C-OFDM) encoding (don't ask, I'd have to be mad even to begin writing an entry).
Sadly a "digital TV through an aerial" subscription won't get you DAB digital radio.
('scuse me if that's what the entry actually said before amendment - I never saw it!)

Freeview, the replacement for ITV Digital, is actually giving you some of the stations also available on DAB Digital Radio - including the BBC's DAB-only stations (and 5-Live), as well as a few commercial stations. Bet that's a bit more confusing.
