Great article, though I must admit I thought it was going to be about tabloid wars..
I have a question though: I was pretty sure that the sun was a second generation star, ie that it had formed from the debris of first generation stars which had gone kerblooey. The matter which makes up our solar system had been through the star-mill once before and that this accounted for such non-typical elements as iron and gold etc etc. At least that's what I remember anyway...
