RULES UPON HEARING A SIREN - MY VERSION !

Post 1

VONNIE

WHEN TRAVELLING ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK, I WAS IN A SIREN NOT HEARING SITUATION. SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE VOLUME OF MY STEREO (NOT QUIET!)

FOLLOWING CAR IN FRONT, I WONDERED WHY HE WAS PULLING OVER, I QUICKLY GLANCED BEHIND ME (JUST TO SEE IF ANY IDIOT WAS GOING TO PASS ME) THEN INDICATED AND OVERTOOK SAID DRIVER. I DID WONDER WHY HE WAS STOPING THERE SO I HAD A GOOD LOOK IN MY REAR-VIEW (NOT MAKE-UP) MIRROR ONLY TO SEE A LARGE FIRE-ENGINE WITH BLUES&TWOS GOING LIKE CRAZY.

I DID FEEL LIKE A RIGHT PRAT. HOWEVER I DID SEE THE FUNNY SIDE OF IT NOW, AND I NOW CHECK MORE CAREFULLY WHEN CARS IN FRONT PULL-UP.

Perhaps regular checking of the rear view mirror and a quieter stereo setting would help in detecting emergency vehicles, rather than relying on cars in front getting out of your way - or have I missed some sarcasm somewhere?
