A Conversation for Driving Etiquette - Israel

Come on, it's not that bad!

Post 1

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

Maybe I'm not driving yet (lazy me, I'm still just learning), but I really don't think it's all that bad.

True, drivers are a bit... um... irrate; true, some roads are in a dreadful state of disrepair (especially here in Jerusalem, where city hall has developed a hobby of moving dirt piles from one spot to another); true, you should always be on your guard when driving...
I think I had a point when I started. Oh yes - it's not all that bad. I mean, it could have been worse. I mean, at least for the time being, Israel still attempts to be a regular western country. We haven't sunk into complete chaos just yet.

Also, I would like to shamelessly plug my entry about Public Transportation in Israel: F57153?thread=351832 for the thread, in writing workshop because I need help with buses outside Jerusalem.

Anyone here care to share some information?
