A Conversation for Driving Etiquette - Egypt

The magnificent difference between Egypt and just about any other country is that the person making the manouver seems to have right of way. So if that person waiting to pull out in front of you judges that you have room to stop he will pull out, and expect you to smile and be relaxed about it.
When driving at night in the desert and seeing a car approaching blow your horn and flash your lights in case the other driver is asleep.
Also be aware that if you take your car to Egypt and have it destroyed in a traffic accident, which is not unlikely, Customs will assume you have sold it in good condition unless you export the scrap.
