As a hairy follower of popular music I have very few classical records
but the abovementioned is one of them, I also have A Sea Symphony...
the opening chorus "Behold, the sea itself" just shivers my timbers,
simply marvellous! Others that have tickled me include Elgar Cello concerto OP85, Miserere mei, Deus(allegri). Given these choices, could the panel recommend other similarly (to my mind anyway) emotionally colorful pieces?

Heard it performed along with the Antartic Symphony. Very atmospheric stuff.
