Another losing lawsuit for McD's over at:

Plus of course wasn't there a Scottish islander called "Ronald McDonald" who tried to sue them because they were suing someone else. Something about showing the absurdity of McD's trying to copyright something that was very common.

I'm not sure that anything ever came of either case, but it shows how absolutely stupid companies can be in the quest to protect what they see as 'theirs'.

Yeah, there was a similar case with Micro$oft last year, when they persued a lad called Micheal Rowe who had produced a few tiny bits of software, and advertised them on his website at mikerowesoft.com.
It was quite entertaining for a few days, watching M$ people decide that they were hounding an innocent kid.
