The Diamond Age or, A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer by Neal Stephenson could fall into this category I believe. The Victorian social strata imposed on a world transformed by nanotechnology might fit the bill.

oh, definitely. There are many works by various authors that were missed out of the Entry, such as these that you mention, the Pullman 'Golden Compass' series (and the film of the same name), more Philip Reeve books, various comics, the list doth grow, and hopefully will continue too.
In fact there are many 'teen' fiction books around currently that hark on steampunk, so perhaps, one hopes, there may be a bit of a resurgence in the genre
