Condoms are a realistic emblem for the government in power. Whoever that may be after the 5th of May.
A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.
Pardon my cynicism, it is mostly harmless
