Great entry Jimi
I enjoyed reading about the book that I remembered fondly from my own childhood. It has unfortunately not proved uniformly successful in encouraging my daughter to try unfamiliar dishes
A further link that may prove enjoyable would be to http://www.seussville.com/ for much Dr Seuss related information and games such as the Sam-I-Am Says game (which is a Simon type game repeating the list of items Sam says in the same order)

i do! i like them sam i am!
for rmy daughter too! on a recent extended visit "home" i dug my old dr. seuss books out of a closet, in an attempt to get her to open up to reading in english. total success!
these books, especially TCITHCB, opened wide for her 2 worlds which she had previously only timidly observed through a door ajar: english and reading.
another seussical miracle in a series of millions! vive le docteur seuss et le jambon aux oeufs verts!
