Fat Tony?

Is it a coincidence that the main character in the Sopranos is a fat bloke called Tony.
And wasn't the character of Disco Stu invented simply because Homer had a leather jacket and was putting studs on the back but miscalculated the spacing so that his intended message Disco Stud did not quite fit?

No Disco Stu existed before Homers case of lack of space, it was just through the writers thinking it would be funny having Homer with Disco Stu written on his back then having Disco Stu purchase the jacket in a jumble sale

But he didn't actually purchase the jacket. Also, are we to assume that a character is gay if they are gay in a "fantasy" episode (see D.S. in "Homer's Odyssey")?

"Two Bad Neighbours", the episode in which Disco Stu considered buying the jacket was his first episode!!
