before science, people had their own ideas as to what the sun was. for example;
.the ancient egyptians believe that the sun was their god ra riding across the sky in a boat.
.the ancient greeks believe it was their god apollo in a chariot.

I thought the Egyptians believed it was a giant dungball being pushed by a scarab...
Also, what's the hottest part of the sun? Page three. Although you need to be British to get that one.

Hey, isn't that what the Guide is about? Think of something in light of "Hey, that'd make a neato entry for the Guide", make sure there's nothing else already on the subject, write it up, and put it out there...
