A Conversation for Candiru - the Vampire Fish

I'm SQUIRMING!

In spite of the fact that I'm many thousands of miles from the Amazon, can't swim and NEVER feel compelled to take a cool dip in any water that isn't chlorinated, I'm sitting here with my legs firmly crossed, squirming.

If anyone I know ever goes to the Amazon, I'm pretty sure this story WILL come up in conversation at the bon voyage party...

TRAVELLER: So, I'm going off on the adventure of a lifetime to travel up the Amazon.

ME (casually): Cool! Hey...ever heard about these tiny parasitic fish that can swim up your penis and eat your testicles? Try these hors d'oeuvres. They're very tasty...fish balls I think...

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

It was someone's (I can't quite remember who), squirming on another entry... Maybe the one about face mites, which lead to a comment about the penis fish... which I then vaguely* remembered having heard about from a friend, years back, who used to do ecology in the Amazon... which inspired me to write the entry smiley - evilgrinsmiley - fishsmiley - fishsmiley - fishsmiley - fishsmiley - fishsmiley - biggrin
