I'm sure Valerie Singleton was on the show for a lot, lot, longer than just 1972, or am I mistaken? (Memo - check the collection of Blue Peter annuals at wife's sister's. Almost certain Singleton is in all of them up to and including 1978, and that she and Judd co-presented for a while)

I think Val did a sort of spin off show related to historical subjects buildings. But her acually weekly appearances on the show ended in 1972, according to the BBC's own website.
