Winter Haiku
Part 1
Snuggle in blankets
Before a blazing Yule fire
Planning days to come
Sharing all our days
Cuddling to find a warm spot
Before winter leaves
Stand by the thousands
White-robed arms reach for the sky
Trees pleading winter
The final one came to me on the way from work one day.
I saw the trees heavy-laden with snow, until I rounded a bend in the river bottom road.
There I saw lines of leafless trees stretching upward with snow clinging to them.
