Wow! I only saw this entry now, 3 months too late!
Cork is about on a par with ROIOD (Rest-of-Ireland-Outside-Dublin) so accomodation is just about manageable. B&B's would be about 20-40 Irish pounds per night I guess, and hotels about 100 pounds to 200 pounds.
If you are coming from the UK or the US it should be ok given the woeful exchange rate of the euro.
