Memories of WKRP

As delightful as this entry is, one understands the need for economy of words and memories. So, I thought it might be good to have a place where aspects can be expounded upon.

In particular, some of the back stories might be caputed in this way. One of the opening episodes great back stories was the coffee mug of Johnny 'Dr Johnny Fever' Caravella; it told his back story well.

Johnny had been a top Rock DJ, but got in regular trouble with the FCC for using 'The seven words you cannot say on radio - George Carlin'.

He moved down the DJ success ladder picking up names like Johnny Sunshine and such, all listed on his mug. His excitement at the format change made him feel feverishly happy; and so, he created the new moniker on the spot. 'I've got the cure', was the line, if memory serves.

Great bit that!

Thanks for that, smiley - towel - I'd completely forgetten that bit. Johnny Fever was my favourite character on the show. They just don't write 'em like that anymore...
