Not Slushies! Slurpees!!
(I even submitted an entry on them)

my hometown used to have an overabundance of 7-11s, but over the years they've all been bought out by the nefarious super america. so now we have no slurpees. icees are no substitute.
and when i stay with friends in places with 7-11s, they are tickled pink by how many slurpees i manage to put away during my visit.

When I was in college we used to drive an hour each way, every other week just for slurpees... So I understand how you feel...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everywhere... at least in the US... It's a big event for me and my friends... (although I did miss last year...)

i'm going to have to drive to iowa and partake of cheap slurpee day.

btw, has anyone tried the new (to me anyway) vanilla flavor? how is it?

Cheap Slurpees! Oh goody! I enjoy the cup with two chambers. One filled with sour apple, the other with peach.

Not that normally priced slurpees are expensive... But yes, the dual chambered cups are great... did anyone get one of those heavy-duty brain-freeze straws (with the brain in the icecube)?

I was about to say that maybe the 11 cent slurpee on 7/11 is just a regional thing, but you're from Deer Park, and I know for a fact that there are 7-11s on both the north and the south shore of long island that celebrate 7-11 day this way... (Lindenhurst and Port Jefferson to name 2...)
Hmm... maybe the deal is at the owner's discretion...

well, perhaps i just wasnt working that day and i didnt notice it, since it was shortly after my major car accident from last year...
i worked in lindenhurst 7-11 on the corner of sunrise hwy and straight path

Wow! That's so close to where my parents live... I even went to lindenhurst hs (class of 94). I've gotten many slurpees from that 7-11... although my regular one would be the one on sunrise and Greene...
