Why all the stylistic changes? I tried not to change it too much myself because I didn't want to alter the voice of the original author. And my joke about the cabalistic roadsign has gone. Hmmm...

And the more I read it, the less happy I become with it....

you're referring to the intro, 'cleaning the gene pool' etc, are you? I also tried not to change the flavour too much; the changes you mentioned were made by the in-house Editors.

That's the procedure, see EditedGuide-Process. After the Subbie sends back an entry, it gets some final polishing in-house, sometimes more, sometimes less, before it gets eventually published on the front page. If it's particularly annoying for you, you could ask about it at <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>.

I have done. I'm not pointing the finger at you, it's just a question of attribution. The in-house editing has made the entry very anodyne, and the Italics are aware of this.

And have responded. It's lucky we found this as otherwise we mightn't have seen it before it went live. Can I remind you to stick to posting this kind of feedback in Editorial Feedback? It means we're guaranteed to see it with plenty of notice.
