That is a pretty horrible pun...and I really didn't notice it when I first typed it.

yay, 34DD. Buying bras is a nightmare - I always wear an ultrabra, which cost 25quid. I just wrote an article on the breast phenomenon. I'm also starting a Zine called the Breast Chronicles - anyone wanna contribute to it?

But, after the first few articles, what would you talk about? The latest trips to buy bras? Bad "are they real?" experiences?

Okay......fine, I shan't pursue the matter further.
*Gwennie gives in to another urge*
Okay! You were a "damme" in a pantomime?

Ohhhh aaalllright
It was a party, in a pub - that was closing down...
A few of us (drunken) thought it would be fun to give the barmaids a short break - somehow this involved the compulsory swapping of clothes¹. Short skirts & a bare midriff top - it really set my beard off beautifully...

¹& anyway I needed somewhere to keep the waterbombs

Thank god that doesn't happen in real life...

Hmm... I may be wrong, but I thought a one-inch difference equals a AA, two inch equals A, and so on. Using that system I'm a 36C, whereas using the other one I'd be a DD-cup. This is definitely not so. Maybe the sizes are a bit different in the UK, or something.

According to the method somebody posted earlier (I think it was post 17) I should be a 34C. I actually wear a 30F...
In my experience, you shouldn't add 4-5 inches to the underbust, just round to the nearest even number. The cup size is whatever fits - but usually the 1 cup size per inch method gives roughly the right size.
The rule of thumb is that the correct band/back size should be literally the smallest you can get on*, and the correct cup size is the biggest you can properly fill out.
Keep trying on smaller and smaller band sizes until you can't fasten it, then you know the one up from that is the right one. Keep trying on bigger cup sizes until it's too loose, then you know the previous one was right.
*it needs to be tight for support, especially if you're a big cup size.

How odd to have this topic bounce back up. Alas my bras are now all, black or white.I'll have to go down the ladies' market as soon as I can get a day off (still in Hong Kong)
