It should be noted, however, that recent research has linked wearing a bra on a constant basis, or even just quite regularly, to developing breast cancer. This is because it compresses and damages the lymph nodes, and prevents them from functioning to clean the system. I have not actually got the citation on me right now, but if anyone is interested, I will try to find it again.

My understanding that this was a possible link, and that wearing the wrong size bra (which most women do) contributed. As someone with two close female relatives with breast cancer, I wouldn't want to trivialise it, but it would seem that there should be a far higher breast cancer rate if there's a direct correlation, though it could be one of a variety of contributing factors.

In fact, my source indicated that in cultures where bras or similar devices were not worn, the increasing Americanisation/Wesernization, including the custom of bras has resulted in a dramatic increase in bresat cancer rates. Also, I am not suggesting that bras sre the sole cause or even a cause per se, but merely a contributing factor, combined with several others. In fact, over 70% of breast cancer cases have been directly linked to organochlorine poisoning, for citations see Hightower "Theres Nothing in the middle of the road but yellow stripes and dead armadillos"

Yup, as I said, it's probably one of a variety of factors
There's also mounting evidence that the mass consumption of dairy products is directly linked to breast cancer; in most southern global cultures, where such products are consumed they are not consumed in the quantities they are in the global north. Again, a "westernisation" process is taking place, and we're seeing a sharp rise in breast cancer rates (and as "western" diets catch on in general, a steep rise in heart attacks, strokes, type-2 diabetes, glaucoma, and various cancers). Then you add in the chemicals that are being dumped on us all...
Love Jim Hightower - I especially enjoy checking his website for the latest audio streams It's always good to have someone astute point out problems while being extremely funny

I have yet to see any real evidence for a link to breast cancer - I keep hearing people saying that western countries where bras are worn have a higher rate of cancer, as if that's evidence that the bras are the cause...
Any scientist worth his or her salt knows that correlation does not imply causality, and it's also worth noting that this "study" has never been submitted for peer review. Scientific theories are *never* accepted until they have been through this process.
