The nighly builds are now on version 1.4 and boy is it fast.

Put it on my works PC (broadband connection) and I thought it was faster, but really noticed it on home (dial up), dunno what they've done, but is way good

IMSoP - Safely transferred to the 5th (or 6th?) h2g2 login system

I think it is more accurate to state that version 1.3 has now become 'stable', so the unstable builds are now technically working towards version 1.4, although they will technically still be much nearer 1.3.

Pedantry aside, however, I agree that the application is still improving at an incredible rate. And logic therefore dictates that even if you were unconvinced of Mozilla's superiority over IE at version 1.0, it must eventually surpass it because IE just doesn't seem to be developed that actively.smiley - biggrin

Of course, if it's speed you want, you should keep an eye on the Phoenix project (or whatever it is renamed to), which takes the latest browser version and builds a hyper-efficient program out of it. It seems to have been quiet for a while, but this may mean they're about to announce a big release (<fingerscrossed&gtsmiley - winkeye...
