A Conversation for Harry Houdini

This is a really interesting entry! I did a bit of a search for Houdini on the web after reading it, and found this intriguing article based on an article by a friend of Houdini http://www.njedge.net/~knapp/PipeHoudini.htm.
The parts about Houdini being able to make his way past people without them seeing him, and also how he dodged the traffic, make me wonder two things: did he use psychology and misdirection in a similar way to Derren Brown; and did he have unusually fast reactions and observation skills?
Whatever, it seems that he was able to control his mind and body to a startling degree and I find this in itself more impressive than the idea that 'magic' was involved.

I agree, this article is most interesting! I really enjoyed reading it! And now I’m curious to watch the movie with Tony Curtis , even if it doesn’t stick to the facts… has anyone seen it?
