A Conversation for Spider Plants
Why your cats like spider plants
Huck Started conversation Apr 18, 2000
You may think your kitty just likes spider plants because cats like EVERYTHING dangly and edible, but the reality is this: cats like spider plants because they are mildly hallucinogenic.
I should qualify that -- they are mildly hallucinogenic for CATS. Do not attempt to eat your houseplants in order to give yourself an evening of wild inspirational visions.
It's generally recommended that you NOT allow your cats to eat spider plants, incidentally. If your cats wanna munch on something green and spindly, try planting them some grass (of the lawn variety, not the wild-inspirational-vision variety).
