Came across the article which I found very interesting as I have been researching my family tree only to find on the 1911 census that my Great Grandfather Alexander Keeling (49) was a Blacksmith living at 24 Birchinlee, Derwent. His son Alexander (14) is listed as office boy on Reservoir. He was living there with his wife Margaret (44) and 3 other children (Sarah) Elizabeth (19) my grandmother, and Nathalian (F7) born Birchinlee, Rose (5)born Birchinlee plus 6 boarders listed as labourers on waterworks - Joseph Dixon (50) Broomsgrove, Worcester, Thomas Hicks (41) Wells, Worcester, Thomas Esmond (55) Pembroke, William Lloyd, Married(54) Llansaintffraed, Stephen Lancaster (50)London, William Redfern (32) Langsett, Yorks, Arthur Redfern (28) Langsett, Yorks.
Looking forward to obtaining a copy of Brian Robinsons book.
