St. Bede and St. Cuthbert

I'd like to argue that neither St Bede nor St Cuthbert are sons of Newcastle.
St Bede (c673-735) was born in Monkwearmouth, Sunderland... more son of Sunderland than Newcastle...
St Cuthbert (c635-687) was born either in Ireland, or Lauderdale, Northumbria depending on which legend you subscribe to.
At anyrate, they both predate Newcastle, (first recorded as Nova Castellum in 1130) hence cannot be sons of the same
When they were active, the castle hadn't been built.
