...giving ingredients, times and method would be useful. It could probably be picked out of the text, but did you miss anything important out - well the ratio of black tea to orange tea to start with - and do you make it strong or weak, how long do you steep the leaves - just give us a ballpark to aim for smiley - smiley I would like to try it, but as travelling to the deep south of the US is not in my itineray this decade, a bit more info would be appreciated smiley - smiley

Ah! The orange/black ratio is unknown by me (and nearly all others) because the leaf mixture is packaged as one unit. In fact, this mixture is so common that pure darjeeling or
earl grey, e.g., is delegated to the specialty section (next to herbal teas, kosher mustard, nori, and martini olives) or the very bottom row, at the market.

The most common leaves are orange pekoe and black pekoe-cut. Pour merely very hot
water over the leaves (much too hot to touch, but nowhere near boiling). If you have a coffee pot, rinse out any trace of coffee smell or taste, and place the leaves in the same place where the beans usually go, and run the normal cycle. (That is, it's not terribly ``strong'' -- the water gets the same exposure as water in coffee does.) Add sugar while hot, and refrigerate to ~5C. Quaff.

This might(!) approximate sweet tea.

I did leave out this: sweet tea is only storable for a day (reliably) or two (maybe).

Tea.

Anyone out there got a cold or flu symtoms. I visited Bluewater, Kent which is a large out of town shopping centre. At whittard (they are based in Chelsea, London. Well I got a cynnomen tea. When you can't sleep have a cup of this tea served black no sugar, for those who like sweet tea add honey, good for the throat.
You get a natural drug free sleep which is the best remedy for a cold
