Sounds like a cool place, that hopefully, I'll visit some day.
In the meantime, I'll have to be content with strolling through h2g2's own little British Museum, the English History wing of the h2g2 Historical Society, in which this Entry will be receiving a link.

It is indeed a fine place to visit, and keep going back! The Elgin Marbles room is a repository for centuries of memories, which you can sense all around you. Absorb them.
My first time in the museum was as child on a school trip for the King Tut exhibition. We queued for hours, and I remember how small the mask was. I've been back many times since then.
