My personal favourite item has to be the letter (well, thin strips of wood with writing on) to home, discovered at a roman site near Hadrian's Wall on which one of the soldiers guarding the wall describes Britain as wet and cold and asks if they can send more socks.

I really love the great torc from Snetisham, I think it is probably the most beautiful piece of jewellery ever made. Whenever I go to the museum I have to just go and stare at it for half an hour or so!
What I don't like about the museum is that whenever I go to see something specific I find that I get sidetracked by things that I just see out of the corner of my eye, so I never get to see that which i intended...
