Elaine is "promiscuous, untrustworthy, blonde, daft... "? I don't know how recent are the episodes shown on your side of the pond, but that does not describe the character currently, if indeed it ever did.
Granted, she is blonde.
Although sexy, sensuous, even bawdy, she is basically celibate. Her standards in potential suitors are almost unattainably high. She has demonstrated unswerving loyality and compassion for both friend and stranger; probably the most trustworthy of all the cast of characters (she is, after all, the only non-attorney on the show).
Daffy, perhaps... but daft? No way! As they used to say, she is one smart cookie.
And, arguably, the most beautiful woman on the planet.
