Terry Pratchett invented this alarming quasi-masonic oath for a maladjusted secret society in the Discworld novel "Guards! Guards!"
Later on in the book he reveals that, acording to "The Dictionary of Eye-Watering Words", a "figgin" is "a small pastry cake filled with raisins".
So I wonder if the figgin is the extrusion into the Discworld of that Roundowrld phenomena known as the Eccles Cake... (or vice versa)
