A Conversation for Rechargeable Batteries

You can recharge most batteries, sort of.

Post 1

I used to recharge old 9v "heavy duty" batteries as a young teen. I used them to power electronic creations I put together, and found that you can trickle charge these things, helping my 13-yr old R&D budget. You have to provide a slow current, and blasting a battery with charge will likely cause it to explode, very dangerously. However even non-rechargeable batteries can have the reaction reversed somewhat that provided the energy they gave out - just they weren't designed for this so they arent really good. You'll be able to run that walkman again on the same batteries for a few songs, etc.

Maybe it should be said - don't try this at home!
