it is really great (especially since I love Heinrich Heine and always liked this poem)
(I have been talking to my daughter about this story the other day, and she simply said one could brush one's hair at another place so not to endanger poor seamen)

Hi there Bel, great entry! I learnt this song in German class. Mala, it's good you can get away with that picture here. I tried to put a similar-sort-of picture of an ancient Greek sea nymph on Photobucket and they gave me a hard time about it.

I really can't see what's objectionable about such a tasteful picture when you can see bare breast in every magazine nowadays(not to mention TV).
