Yes they are lovely natured dogs and good with children. One big problem however is that as family pets they will retrieve anything left around and I mean anything!
If you are looking to purchase one of these gorgeous dogs, be prepared to hide away such things as purses, tablets, your remote controls, children,s soft toys, (a particular favourite) food of all kinds, even £20 notes or cheques are not safe, so be warned.

not all Golden's are like this. Mine doesn't retrieve everything. She does have a habit of wandering upstairs though if left unattended and goes on a discovery hunt.
