A Conversation for Ecstasy - the drug
Biased report

This is a biased report of ecstasy.
I myself was addicted to ecstasy (in fact, I still am, but I stay away from it). The drug has great potential for mature adults, but the war on drugs has demonized it in a way that made it appealing to rebellious subcultures. I probably would never have tried ecstasy if it was never mentioned by my D.A.R.E. officers.
Regardless, it offered me some incredible insights, but being young and having an addictive personality, I took it too frequently. Especially when I was on it, I knew I shouldn't be. I made accomplished a few breakthroughs having used ecstasy, and do not regret having used it (or the addiction, it is something to rise above and be stronger because of).
Ecstasy can be a great drug if used in a therapeutic and responsible manner. It can help a person understand themselves or others more, and with the proper attitude, these new perceptions can be integrated in sober everyday life.
