A Conversation for Smiling

There's nothing better than a nice warm smile and I'm happy to report that in France, where I've just returned from, the smiley 'Bonjour' is alive and well along with the fresh baguette, the rose´ wine, the Savoy cheese and sheer exhileration of being in wonderful scenery. Perhaps it's to do with the weather? Or the language? But whatever it is the French have got it.
And the Irish have it too, the smiley temperament, as I recall from my visit there a couple of years ago.'Top of the mornin' with a wink and a smile is a lovely greeting. So it can't be the weather can it?!
I'm told that you can get a smile if you go into a certain international burger joint where Freedom Fries are shovelled out - but if it's a genuine smile I wouldn't like to say. I hurry past at the wafting aroma of old fat.
The most mysterious smile I've ever seen was from an old Hungarian Zimmerkat.
And as for the romantic closed-mouth smiling Mona Lisa - was it just a simple case of rotten teeth?

Awww, thank you, Lucky Llareggub, what a nice report.
Thanks, cl, I guess that's the trouble with so many links in an entry, people don't follow them all. The entry you mention is linked to in my entry (see the word 'smiley' in the first para.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. And I'm glad that people took the time to read and comment. And don't worry about pointing out the possible link, here, we say:
'Doppelt hält besser' which means as much as 'twice assured is better'.
