I am so going to quit CDT the moment I get a chance. In the first year, we had this teacher who told us these horror story about the machines, which went to my head, and now I try to get out of CDT as much as I can as I hate it soooo much. I'm also going to quit music, and I told you why earlier.
PsyduckPE: what's wrong with the queen? She's not a money sucking old bat. She's a figure head for the nation. I so want to quit Europe. If we join, we're only goign to be run by France or Germany. I'd rather be run by Blair, and he's bad enough. There's only one good thing about Europe; school uniform will hopefully fade out. There's no way I want to be run by France. Not only do they give hard school work, but they keep the kids in for such long hours that they might as well all be bording schools.

I'm still to do my CDT coursework. Today I had the Maths and Physics exams and they both went fine. I also got my Information Studies result already!

Do you best to read it through

Yet again I disagree with both your points. The Queen IS NOT a "figure head for the nation" - she's a figurehead for the conservative traditionalist who need a wealthy person to "rule" the country. They are, as she, TOTALLY out of touch with the reality of Britain. I would be less critical of her if she wasn't a money sucking old bat as you claim is the case. That unfortunately is a fact as money goes in and all that comes out is public appearances. If, like the Dutch queen, the old bat would stop taking money and give her money and possessions away in a welfare system (very likely), then I might not mind her. Hereditary pass of power is against everything I believe. No governor of this country should be in power due to their family line.
Now, to your Europe view. Again, I totally disagree. I HATE it when people repeat Conservative crap without realising all it is is mindless paranoid xenophobia. I am not proposing to give up our independence and neither is Blair. That would be ridiculous. If we joined the ECU we would only be giving up some economic control. But it's not like the Germans and French will "run our country". They won't even "run" our country but affect it economically as Europe has a parliament, not a dictatorship as the &*(#$ Tories portray. If we do not join the ECU our economy may really suffer. Exports will be tariffed and there might be a market crash eventually. It is pure racism and unneeded nationalism that drives the fight against the Euro. School uniform should be dumped eventually as it is ridiculous. This is not quite what the European parliament does though. It is also unlikely we would adopt France's education system.
Finally, what's so bad with Blair. Of course like all politicians he broke a few promises. But relative to Thatcher, Major & Hauge (lol) he's divine! I criticise him heavily (look at my Blairite entry) but if you look at this government - Mandelson, the Browns, Prescot, and the rest that are so heavily criticised are again brilliant compared to the last government. If you don't think so please state why not. I know they (like all politicians) are hypocritical, sleazy and deceiving but one must think relatively to the other options and the past - can you really see a government with Hauge and Widdecombe running the country???
Ok, this is as long as the entry now - sorry! smiley - smiley

Ok. A*. Today was ok. Had 5.5 hours of exams. CDT, History & English. They all went fine. I was also told my Maths result and percentage. Well, only three mocks left...

So I suppose you're doing your GCSE's then? Are you 16? I'm gonna be 14 on Thursday week. It was quite funny because the other day these little kids asked me how old I was, and I said I'm almost 14, then they asked when I was going to be 16. They then asked me if I still go to school, and what year I'm in, I said year 9, and she said she's in year 10, when only 5 minutes earlier she said she was in year 1.....
BTW: I don't know much about politics, it's just what my mummy tells me, so excuse me. smiley - winkeye

So it's not your fault, it's your conditioning. How I hate conditioning. Please question your mother's views as taking them without question is not good. I just hate it when people don't think about their views. Well, 3 more mocks tomorrow. I wonder when I'll get the rest of my results...

And, yes, I am doing my GCSEs and I am 16. I've done 2 GCSEs already and doing 7 this year, one year late due to my stupid school's system so I'll be 17 by the time I finish my GCSEs (well, actually before then!).

Our school finished their mocks at the beginning of December. I think the actual GCSE's are in May/June. I've got my SAT's in May, and 3 weeks later there's the school's internal exams, as if they haven't tortured us enough.

Ahhh.....Hiya Ally. Good to see ya pal. You can support my view that all our school is worried about is their reputation. It's true isn't it? BTW, there is something else to say, in't there? We've got our bleeping options coming up soon and there's a certain teacher u, me and many others will so spite.....

Yes, exams are stressful and irritating but can you think of a better way to motivate the ignorant majority of students? If it wasn't for that silly grade many would slack off and not bother to do anything at all. And what's wrong with "skool", teachers and Tony Blair? Oh, I get it, you're just a rebelling anarchist going against any form of system. I think schools are necessary to educate as without them I think the literacy of most countries would half. And what's so bad about Tony. Yes, he breaks promises like all politicians and yes, he does try and knock out Ken Livingstone but name a better replacement?

Ally and me are just against our school in particular. It is so bothered about it's reputation. For example, you may not wear jewellery or more than one earring in each ear and they say it's because it will ruin their reputation. Also, a month or so ago, there was this girl who got told off for wearing dredlocks for the same reason as the jewellery. In the winter, they give you detention if you don't wear your tie, and you also get detention for putting your blazer in your locker. Now that is pure sadness. Don't think I'm exaggerating either.

I see your point

Ok, your school is one thing but the whole concept of education and Tony Blair is another. It's like saying that all CDs are shite if you listen to one bad one. Of course exams aren't nice but can you think of a way to motivate that replaces it? And I understand why you're fed up with them but just because your school is so obsessed with its reputation doesn't mean all schools are!

Wow, Mr. Cynic [like the new name]. For someone doing his GCSEs, you put your points across very forcibly... don't let anyone stop you. Exams are essential, they are something to make sure that people aim for something. (My view is biased, however, I did get 4 A*s, 4As, 2Bs.)

The british education system is allegedy one of the best in the world... it might really suck at times, but it isn't all terribly bad. Stick with it!

Alon (aka Mr.Cynic)

Thanks and thanks. Just got back from the final three mocks - History, Biology and Chemistry. However, I do not think your view is biased, just because you learnt/studied/knew enough to get those good grades doesn't mean you were blessed and therefore your view doesn't count. I've taken to GCSEs already and two mocks yet I don't believe my view is biased.

Hmmm, I've got Chemistry tomorrow. With the teacher who's in his first job and loves giving out detentions. I went back to school today and he's probably going to have a go at me tomorrow because I was away for the test last week, and I haven't been to see him about it either. HELP ME!!!!!
