I have to say, I have found many cool places in York, but I've never gone into Evil Eye. I suppose it's not my kind of "cool". At least this entry tells me what I'm missing!

Most of my cool places in York are more daytimey places...

Any recommendations for me? My brother's coming to visit.

Touristy stuff.... and shops. I don't tend to do "going out".

We probably will do some touristy stuff. Maybe the art gallery. Maybe a drink at City Screen if the weather's nice.

If you want Yorvik, be sure to book in advance, if you can. Otherwise, avoid bank holidays, school holidays, weekends, and schooldays when there'll be school parties in there.

How old is he? So better to know what kind of age-range I'm thinking of.

We're twins. He's 50 minutes older.

We were trying to avoid anywhere with entrance charges! He's gone back now, but thanks anyway. I have a friend coming next week so I need to decide what to do with him. I don't think he'll appreciate the history as much as my brother.

Sorry, I'm rather rubbish at the moment. Rountree park is pretty at the moment - and if you're really lucky, you'll see people juggling on the roundabout...
