There once was a man from Japan
Whose poetry never did scan
It all sounded fine
Until the last line
Which usually had too many syllables and often didn't rhyme, either.

As for the answer of 'where did the other posts go' they're hidden. I wonder how they'll fare with the moderators. Some weren't exactly.. uhm.. kidstuff.

Hiya
Always liked this one:
There once was a man from Dundee,
Who was stung on the nose by a wasp,
When asked, "Did it hurt?",
He said, "No, not much.
It can do it again if it likes."
Very silly, and arguably not a limerick at all, but it appeals to me.

There once was a chap from Japan
Whose limericks never would scan
When asked why this was
He replied "It's because
I always try to get as many words into the last line as I possibly can"
