... although, as you say, a greater premium was put on interest than accuracy, which occasionally left a bit to be desired.
In one game, Alan was klaxoned for stating that there are nine planets. While "Pluto isn't a planet" is a defensible astronomical position (and never mind the subsequent discovery of Sedna) Alan was actually stating the official IAU position.
Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed the show...

It's only the IAU's official position because they work in timescales similar to the orbit of planets. They have yet to acknowledge the two additional planets found in eccentric orbits which are both bigger that Pluto.
BTW, just because it is "Quite Interesting", did you know that the Milky Way galaxy has satellite galaxies?

Or were you thinking of others?
I know that Andromeda is part of our local group and currently moving toward us....

Yes, those the large and small Magellanic clouds, but also the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy apparently.

And order seems to have restored itself as Pluto is no longer a recognised planet.
