A Conversation for The Greek Alphabet

The pronounciation and the teaching of the way ancient greek is pronounced is incorrect. On what grounds is westernizing the greek acceptable? What proof do you have to suggest that the ancient greeks pronounced for example και like kigh as in high and not keh? Our bible is written in ancient greek, we speak the language today and it was only not long ago that we dropped the extra accents and the iota subscript. It is an insult to teach other people the incorrect way of our language. Its funny that its only non-greek people that think they know how the language was pronounced.
Nikos ....o and the k in nikos is like a g as in fiGure not kangaroo

Can you show me which part of the Entry is wrong, leonidas? It doesn't mention the example you give, 'kigh', anywhere in it.
