a couple of things have changed now-you don't get a bar to roll, and as of january, well that's when I last donated they don't put a pad over the needle site-it's just a plaster, having applied pressure for about 5 minutes

Yeah, you still get the bar to roll, but only if you need it as some people's blood flows slower than others, like mine.

I get the bar to roll, and I get cotton wool and micropore, but that's because I'm allergic to plasters and say so, otherwise I'd get a plaster! It varies hugely from area to area.

Officially, you now only get a bar if you ask for one-I've never had one and I first went last January

At my donor centre, you get a bar if you need one.
