Hobart Beaches

There are actually more than three beaches - the three I was referring to are just within the Kingston area, southwest of the city. Not all of the others look out to the Southern Ocean (only the Kingston area ones, and at South Arm). A pernickity point, but for the sake of accuracy ...

No worries. Some more info: The "eastern shore" beaches don't tend to be as clean as the "western shore" ones. South Arm beaches are where the surfers go. Ones a bit further out, such as Seven Mile Beach, can also be visited within abut half an hour from the city. People actually swim all year round (though not a lot of them), even if the water does come straight up from the Antarctic!
