It seems highly relevant to include a link to the Laws of Cartoon Physics, a scholarly presentation investigating the Laws of Physics in the cartoon world.
Oddly, in spite of the fact that there are many cartoon authors, the Laws of Physics seem to work in a similar way in most cartoon worlds.
