A Conversation for The Australian Broadcasting Corporation
More recent changes to the ABC

Firstly, it's great to see that this is the first article to come up when one searches for the ABC. It's nice and comprehensive.
A couple of things - the ABC can, in fact, trace its origins to as far back as 1928/9, when the Australian Broadcasting Company was established. The Australian Broadcasting Commission only began broadcasting at 8pm on July 1st, 1932.
Some of the more recent changes to Aunty include the introduction of podcasts and vodcasts, as well as streaming audio/video services (especially with the ABC Now desktop app) and, of course, the creation of the digital-only channel ABC2 in 2005.
In fact, just yesterday (8th February), there was a major rebranding of ABC TV - the traditional ABC TV became ABC1 and ABC2 remained as it was - corresponding changes to digital channel numbers are planned or have already happened, I'm not sure which. (More info at http://abc.net.au/tv/newtv/)
It's so nice to see an article about the ABC here, though.
