I think there should be a definition of "partner time".
When my wife says to me outside a shoe shop, "You wait here I'll only be a minute." I could easily cook a three course roast dinner for 4 without the use of a microwave oven before she returns.
Of course if you see me heading towards Hootoo on my computer and saying to the missus, "I'll only be a minute," she experiences a similar effect.
I demand a new definition...

That is very similar to the "Boss Time" phenomenon.
Boss walks in, says "I've got a 2 minute job for someone..."
Everyone tries to look as invisible as possible, as invariably our next three hours will be taken up by said job.
Incidentally, how did they decide upon 1/86400th of a day as being good idea?

Time is relative, lunchtime (computer time, dinner time, bed time) doubly so.
