Can anyone tell me how to prevent the darn thing to entwine and twist itself (I mean the rope)?

Well you can pop most of them open and untwine the rope yourself, but if it's one of the fancy "brain" ones I reccommend you don't do it since it messes with the way the little device works inside of it.

Well, make sure the string isn't to hard twisted, that can cause twisting....
On the other hand, a too loose string will let the yo-yo spin too easily and you won't be able to get it up again.

Indeed. Have you ever tried to do an "All Across the World" in a small enclosed space? Let's just say you better be wearing some sort of protection.....
